Applying for a Grant from Solving Kids’ Cancer

As the managing member of Twin Capital Management, David Simon draws upon more than three decades of experience in risk arbitrage, special situation investing, as well as, corporate law. Outside of his accomplishments in the investment field, David Simon supports numerous nonprofit and charitable organizations, including Solving Kids’ Cancer.

Founded by two fathers who lost their children to cancer, Solving Kids’ Cancer is a nonprofit group devoted to supporting research into innovative treatments for rare pediatric cancers. Since its founding, the organization has identified and funded dozens of clinical studies on cutting-edge treatments such as precision medicine, high-intensity focused ultrasound, targeted small molecules, and more.

Solving Kids’ Cancer invites researchers working on pediatric cancer to apply for funding from the organization. Grants range from $50,000 to $600,000 and are most often awarded to clinical researchers focusing on early-phase clinical studies with a high rate of risk and return. Additionally, projects focusing on novel therapies receive priority during the grant-review process.

Grant proposals must be written in English, and the proposed budget can allocate no more than 15 percent to 20 percent of the funding to personnel costs. To learn more about applying for a grant from Solving Kids’ Cancer, please visit SolvingKidsCancer.org/Apply-for-a-Research-Grant.
