David Simon founded Twin Capital Management, LLC in 1988 and currently serves as both the CIO and CEO, and under his leadership, the fund is actively managed employing a value-oriented, event-driven strategy. The fund allocates dynamically to merger arbitrage and special situations opportunities.
He began his professional career as a corporate lawyer until becoming the head of risk arbitrage research at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg, where he stayed until moving to a similar position at Mercury Securities. He earned magna cum laude honors, both as an undergrad studying accounting and finance at Muhlenberg College and while earning his JD at the University of Miami School of Law.
He created the David Simon Foundation to facilitate his philanthropic support of several charitable organizations. He co-founded the Starlight Children's Foundation Westchester golf outing program and the Westchester golf outings for H.E.L.P. USA. Mr. Simon also co-sponsors the annual Solving Kids Cancer charity dinner.
